In early 2010 The Bull Terrier
Fanciers Association proudly welcomed the Miniature Bull Terrier
folks & fanciers to be part of their club activities. The BTFA then
became recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club as the "National Club"
for the Miniature Bull Terrier Breed in Canada. A BTFA Booster and a
BTFA Supported Entry Event for Miniature Bull Terriers were held at
the Seaway Kennel Club Championship All Breed Show in May 2010 in
Thorold, Ontario, Canada.. The inaugural (2010) BTFA MBT Canadian
National Specialty was also held that year in Allanburg, Ontario,
Canada, in conjunction with of the Bronze Trophy Show Weekend. Many
Miniature Bull Terrier folks joined the BTFA and participated in
Booster & Supported Entry BTFA activities such
as the Canada Day Rescue Walk, The Puppy Garden Party ad the Annual
Halloween Costume Party & Treat Hunt.. Lot's of fun for all bullies
and bully folk.
2010
In 2011 the Miniature Bull Terrier
Breed activities expanded to include a Booster at the 2011 Purina
National show where we were pleased to draw an entry of eight MBT. a
MBT entry never before achieved at this National Showcase. We were
pleased to have "Louie" be chosen Best of Breed. He is proudly owned
by BTFA member Mark Brozich. BTFA MBT Boosters were also held at the
Seaway Kennel Club Show (May), The Northern Alberta Kennel Club
(June) and the St. Catharines Championship All Breed Show in August.
At the St Catharines Booster BTFA member Troy Rossignol went Best of
Breed with MBPIS Ch Rozzi's Air Force One (Spiller). Spiller went on
to become #1 MBT in Canada for 2011. The Second Annual BTFA MBT
Specialty was again held in May in conjunction with the Bronze
Trophy Show Weekend in May. 2011 was a special year for Paula & Jet
with the achievement of many titles, championing the MBT Breed at
the Purina Cavacade of English Breeds and commencing a fly ball
career.
2011
Expect 2012 to again be a fun filled
growth year for our Miniature Bull Terrier Breed. We will again
feature a MBT Booster on Saturday March 10 at the 2012 Purina
National. Please come out & visit us at our booth in the Breeders
Village. The Bronze Trophy Weekend in May has added the inaugural
BTFA MBT Trophy Show featuring the Don Cherry Trophy to the Saturday
